Set to premiere on January 3rd, 2018, 11th season of the X-Files is bringing us more mysteries to be uncovered by our beloved FBI agents Mulder and Scully.
Starting in 1992, coming back in 2016 and now again in 2018, we have years of entertainment, watching the “spooky” believer and a hard-core sceptic hit it off and somehow make it work.
“Chris’ (Carter, show’s creator) creativity, along with the brilliant work of David and Gillian, continue to propel this pop culture phenomenon, and we can’t wait to see what fresh mysteries Mulder and Scully uncover in this next chapter of The X-Files,” Fox’s president David Madden has said a while ago when announcing its return.
It’s why they’re bringing it back!
The show will run for 10 episodes, bringing us back the old cast – David Duchovny as Mulder and Gillian Anderson as Scully. along with their “boss” Mitch Pileggi as Agent Skinner. The best yet, seems like the “Smoking Man” (William B Davis) and the “Lone Gunmen” Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Bruce Harwood are to be in the new episodes as well. It will probably make us nostalgic, but just so we do not forget we have moved on and are in a different era now, Mulder and Scully’s wannabe successors Einstein (Lauren Ambrose) and Miller (Robbie Amell), who made a debut in the shows revival of 2016, are back again as well.
The filming is taking place as we speak and judging from the cast’s social media, they are having a blast and are just as excited as we are to return!

Let’ see if this time around the truth really gets “out there”. After all, we have been waiting for over 25 years and, not that we are complaining still having it on our screens, we would like to see a closure sometime too. A proper one, just as mysterious as the whole show was.
January can’t come fast enough…
