This New Year started off pretty great for Prison Break fans, as Michael Thorn, president of entertainment for Fox told today:
“We are developing a new iteration of Prison Break.
“It’s in very early stages of development, but we’re really excited about it.”
According to Variety, both brothers, Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) will be returning.
He stated: “We just heard the pitch… a couple of weeks ago, an approach to the next chapter.” “But we don’t even have an outline for the pilot yet. I fully expect both brothers will be involved in the series, assuming that they’re all available. There’s a lot to figure out when you’re bringing back the cast of a show where they all have busy careers.”
Dominic Purcell, who is busy filming another great show – Legends of Tomorrow, made a few hints before the word became official, by teasing his fans on Instagram with posts like this one:
We are definitely very excited for the new episodes and happy he was right!
